An Executive Doctorate in Business Administration (EDBA) offers high-level professionals a unique blend of advanced academic knowledge and practical business insights. The EDBA degree is a three-year online/hybrid program that allows you to enhance your career while working. Under special conditions, the program can be absolved in 2 years. The program has two stages. The first stage of the program will give you a solid foundation in applied business research and your research topic of choice. You will participate in seminars and do study assignments, which you will also use later in the program. In stage 1, you can participate in seminars online, or, in case of sufficient demand, seminars will be organized in hybrid mode on campus with simultaneous live streaming. At the end of stage 1, you will be ready to do your research and write your dissertation, which is stage 2 of the program.
Accreditation
This program is offered via the University of Business Innovation and Sustainability (UBIS) USA(https://ubisglobal.com/about-us/). The EDBA doctoral degree is offered by UBIS under accreditation by the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE) located at 11960 Quivira Road in Overland Park, Kansas, USA (see: https://iacbe.org/memberpdf/UBIS.pdf).
The degrees from UBIS based on USA accreditation are recognized in the Netherlands, the EU and worldwide.
From April 2026, This program is also offered through the Euro American Institute (EAI), Malta, under national accreditation in Malta.
Malta is a member of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and participates in the Bologna Process, which promotes the transparency, comparability, and international recognition of academic qualifications across participating countries.
